Tree of Life

A sacred fig grows from a single glowing seed in a misty forest clearing — bark, leaves and light, breathing as one.

Motion
Every limb is grown, not faded: each branch is born the instant its parent's growing tip passes the point it springs from, unfolds from the parent's direction and thickens as it matures. Bark is shaded as lit cylinders with fissures, moss and moving sun-flecks; thousands of peepal leaves unfurl, flutter and turn in the breeze; a braided, buttressed trunk and banyan prop roots anchor it. Underneath the realism sits the geometry — roots fan radially, the crown settles toward a circle, a kolam of light rings the base — and one quiet energy signal glows inside the bark, rising on the inhale and returning to the roots on the exhale.

  • Branches near the cursor lean away and open; warm light gathers on the bark it passes
  • At the roots, light flows through them toward the trunk and the kolam ring brightens
  • On the trunk, pulses of light climb inside its braided strands
  • In the canopy, leaves lift and motes bloom; grass and ferns part around the hand; click sends a wave of light through the tree
  • Procedural forward-kinematic growth
  • Lit-cylinder bark shading
  • Instanced peepal leaves, ferns, flowers
  • Instanced grass blades with wind
  • Procedural forest, mist and light shafts
  • Two-level highlight bloom
